Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks Bringing Collegiate Summer Baseball to Columbia, TN

Columbia, TN — March 5, 2026 — The Volunteer State League is proud to announce the launch of the Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks, a new collegiate summer baseball team that will call Columbia State University home beginning in the 2026 season.

The Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks will compete in the Volunteer State League, a collegiate wood bat summer league dedicated to player development, community engagement, and high-level competition. The team’s inaugural season will begin in June and run through August.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our league and the city of Columbia,” said Alec Allred, CEO of The Players League. “We look for communities that value baseball, support local events, and take pride in their hometown identity. Columbia represents all of those qualities, and we’re excited to bring the Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks to life here.”

The Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks will feature collegiate athletes from across the country, providing them the opportunity to sharpen their skills in a competitive summer environment while engaging with the local community through camps, appearances, and youth programs.

Brett Thaler, Volunteer State Commissioner, shared their enthusiasm for the partnership: “Our goal with the Volunteer State League is to create a Tennessee based summer home for college players that combines real player development with community impact, giving them a chance to grow on the field while becoming part of the towns they represent.”

Home games at Dave Hall Field will offer affordable, family-friendly entertainment throughout the summer, complete with promotions, themed nights, and community involvement.

Additional information regarding the team’s branding, schedule release, ticket sales, host family opportunities, and sponsorship partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks.
